couple of suggestions:
* under Settings - Configure Konqueror - File Associations - search for swf and make sure it shows up as x-shockwave-flash under applications.  Then highlight it and make sure on the right hand side it shows *.swf for the filename pattern, and that it opens with Movie Player and VLC Media Player
* under Plugins - Netscape Plugins - mine shows as /opt/netscape/plugins/libflashplayer.so   <<-- your path may be different.  You can find the location of yours by searching the hard drive, i.e.:
find / -iname libflashplayer.so
You can test flash player at http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
select no when it asks if you want to download shockwave.  Then there should be a flash movie that plays on the same page.
