Well, I generally try to cripple them any way I know how but this goes even further. You see, Microsoft and Novell made agreements to partnership to further interoperability between Microsoft products and Suse Linux. I don't see this as good, and neither does several thousand other people. So, read the reasons why and make your own decisions....and sign the petition too:

I had read about this some time ago, but I needed some time to cool down before I commented about it. Well, now is the time....
"In a question-and-answer session after his keynote speech at the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) conference in Seattle, Ballmer said Microsoft was motivated to sign a deal with SUSE Linux distributor Novell earlier this month because Linux "uses our intellectual property" and Microsoft wanted to "get the appropriate economic return for our shareholders from our innovation."
"Only customers that use SUSE have paid properly for intellectual property from Microsoft," he said. "We are willing to do a deal with Red Hat and other Linux distributors." The deal with SUSE Linux "is not exclusive," Ballmer added."
If the above is the case, could Microsoft please cut a check to Ed Wiget for all of the software repairs I have made to their buggy operating system that allows their customers computers to become infected by virus's, spyware, malware, trojans, root kits, etc, etc, etc.
What gets me though, is that Microsoft paid millions for the suse-microsoft deal. Well, if they are already out of so much income from someone using their intellectual property, then why did they pay even more to get a slice of it? I can tell you why.....because Microsoft is scared and they know its only a matter of time before our beloved penguin eats their damn butterfly! _________________ Ed Wiget
