Here is my new desktop screen shot of my desktop running at 1680x1050, running fluxbox with a custom conky (link to conkyrc file) system monitor. Most external scripts are at the conky examples homepage, however, if they are not, shoot me a pm and let me know what you need. Also, you may need to adjust paths in the script.
The conky monitor has some additional stuff you hardly ever see (list line per line from top):
system name, kernel version, current date
uptime and system load
cpu load and disk io
cpu frequency and hard drive temp
cpu temp and hard drive 2 temp
cpu graph and disk io graph
ram usage
swap usage
entropy
file system monitors for / and sdb1
Top 3 running processes based on highest cpu usage
Top 3 applications based on highest memory usage
current net speed up and down
net speed up and down graphs
public ip address and local lan ip address
Number of open ports inbound, outbound, total
Inbound connection monitor
outbound connection monitor
gentoo/sabayon portage scripts last sync
gentoo/sabayon portage scripts current emerge progress bar
gentoo/sabayon portage script current emerge package name (or last package emerged)
gentoo/sabayon portage script current status
local weather script
gentoo most recent 3 security advisories
Amarok now playing script with progress bar
amarok collection information - total artists, compilations, albums, tracks, genres
amarok collection statistics for artist with most songs and most albums
The desktop background is just one I found off the internet. Fluxbox is using the Operation theme/style. I will include the background image too.
