The regulars here will probably notice right away that things look a little different....and I hope it has been all improvements.  I basically had some people make some suggestions about things they hated, and I had several of my own.  It only took me almost 2 years to get them fixed.

If I forgot to fix something or took away something you loved...let me know.

The Updates - Mostly user accessibility

  1. Navigation Links on left are now much better organized
    1. fewer categories - i tried to group content (articles, news, web links, stories/large content, and reviews) all in one category, all community (user) stuff in a second category, and support in a 3rd category.  I did away with about 5 other categories that really didn't fit what I was trying to do.
    2. I removed all duplicate links - part of the reason the menu was so long was many duplicate links in different categories.
    3. fixed out dated links - some of the links no longer worked.  The pages they linked to were replaced by newer pages or some didn't even exist.  I fixed all of those and some are brand new (the donations through paypal, merchandise, and the all new mlugazon)
    4. Articles is now a direct link to the master article index.  The old link only listed articles by month they were published and required numerous mouse clicks to finally get to an article, if it was even the right one to begin with.  You basically had to know the month and year an article was published to find it or to search using the search box.  The new way is a direct link to the main article index page that contains the category, article title, and date published
    5. Content link is for multi-page large articles.
  2. A lot more articles - did you realize that between January 1, 2008 and today February 5 there were more than 30 new articles published.
  3. Digg buttons on some (but likely not all) articles
  4. Updated all sponsor images that I could find...1 or 2 I couldn't find at all - I may eventually just remove their links since I haven't heard from them in some time
  5. Added a FAQ for known web site issues
  6. Finished the new Mailing List and made sure it was linked to the correct mailman list.  I deleted all other mailing lists so I couldn't use them by accident.  I intend for the mailing list to be used more like "live discussions" and a way for users to get help.  Its easier for most people to send an email an wait for a reply back than it is to go to a web site and monitor forums for a reply.
  7. Created an all new category called "Link of the Week" where you can recommend a web site by simply submitting its information via the Submit News button and select Link of the Week from the category.
  8. Youtube.com account for videos related to articles and howtos
  9. Made an effort to link to external information within articles to help educate readings - tried to use english wiki when article existed or another reliable source when it was not.
  10. Trying to make the web site easier to use and easier to be indexed by search engines because the web sites ratings have dropped way off the last year (partially my own fault for not publishing as many articles)
