I completed a bunch of forum and general site updates, and although I usually don't announce them in a forum post, I thought these deserved some mention:
* after a year of not being able to login to forum administration, this was finally fixed (coding bug)
* uploaded new forum ranks and appropriate tux images. Basically, we now have these ranks:
Site Admin
Forum Moderator (contact me if you would like to be a moderator - I must know you!)
Newbie - 1 to 49 posts
Penguin - 50 to 199 posts
Advocate 200 - 499 posts
Emporor 500+ posts
* uploaded a bunch of new avatars that all have penguins in them. You can view them by going to Your Account link on the left and selecting browse avatars. I also increased the max width x height to 300 x 300 and the max avatar size to roughly 80KB or 81920 bytes.
* fixed the upload and offsite avatar linkings
* fixed the upload through forum editor - I limited this to images, text type documents, and pdfs in case you ever wanted to upload an image with your forum posts.
* fixed the smilies in the forums.
I am sure there are others I forgot.....still working on some large articles and also reviews....
