i configured my slamr modem driver using the instructions for my toshiba satelite pro at edwiget.name.i have a couple of weird problems.1.everytime i start up my laptop i have to issue the command /etc/init.d/slmodem restart in order to dial up.2.sometimes i can surf the net for a few hours and sometimes only for a few minutes.i'm not getting kicked off by my isp,the modem just stops responding.i disconnect and then reconnect and it works fine, with the exception of stopping every now and then.when i am connected i get great speeds,at least great for a dial up connection.when the modem stops i can't ping or anything,i have to reconnect.i have checked everything that i know of .i have a good phone line,i have tried cr and cr/lf and setting the speed the modem talks to the computer from 57600 down to 33400.i have this same problem no matter what websites i visit.

do this as root:

rc-update add slmodem default

Also, next time it stops responding, do these commands as root and let me know what it says:

iptables -L

route

ifconfig

cat /etc/resolv.conf

I forgot one, so adding it now:

cat /proc/interrupts
