O.k., I installed freespire-1.0.13 and attempted to back up my email from other system using a newer version of kde (3.5.2) and found that freespire couldn't read the email. My memory then goes back to when I first upgraded a gentoo system to either kde-3.4 series or maybe it was kde-3.5 series that there was a script to update the mail format. That means all of my emails from the last 8 years are gone until I can get a newer version of kde on freespire.
Im researching fix for this, even though the next release of freespire 2.0 in 1rst quarter 2007 will have kde-3.5.5 - I cant wait that long. Will update this thread when I find a resolution.
