ewiget writes "I will be teaching two Linux (and Windows/Mac/Solaris) related courses this fall at the Maysville Community and Technical College http://maysville.kctcs.edu
The two courses include:
CIS120 - During the first 8 weeks, I will be teaching MySQL Database Administration. During the second 8 weeks, I will be teaching PHP Programming. Each topic is worth 3 credit hours and will be taught over the internet using KYVU (or possibly an alternative Distance Learning software we have been considering)
NIS230 - The Introduction to Unix using Linux course will be repeated, only this time we are using an updated book (2nd Revision of the book used the last time the course was taught). The book includes Fedora Core 2 installation CDs, although there is a bug which can be encountered on some dual boot systems so I will be providing the latest and greatest from Fedora, which is now Core 4. There is also some new material to be presented, such as securing a Linux System. This course is designed around the CompTIA Certification exam and will prepare you to pass this test. This course is also web based, and will be taught using either KYVU or an alternative Distance Learning software we have been considering to use."
